CAPTAIN – Dimitris Athanasiou
Captain Dimitris has graduated from the Greek Merchant Marine Academy of Mihanionas in 2009. He has worked on tankers and cargo ships until 2014 when he entered the yachting industry. His previous yachts are M/Y Vanlis III , Baglietto 38m and M/Y I Sea , Palmer & Johnson 42m . He holds a speedboat license and a PADI diploma and he enjoys instructing all water toys to the guests onboard! Captain Dimitris is very experienced in the Mediterranean area and will show to your clients all the amazing places and offer them an unforgettable cruise. He is married with two children and speaks fluent English. His hobbies are all water sports, music, martial arts and cooking.

ENGINEER – Athanasios Gkoritsas
Thanasis was born in 1984 and he is Greek. He holds a diploma in Marine Engineering from the Mercantile Marine Academy of Aspropyrgos and all the necessary certificates. He started his career on tanker ships and entered the yachting industry in 2017. Thanasis ensures that everything onboard Laoura M works perfectly. He is a great team player and dedicated person. He speaks English and in his free time he enjoys football, music and bicycling.

CHEF – Vasiliki Kanaki
Vasiliki is 36 years old and a Greek national. She has worked in restaurants around Greece. She loves cooking and offering her talent to travel you through the culture and history of the Mediterranean Sea. You will be amazed with the colorful, vibrant tapestry of the Greek cuisine. Her delicious and nourishing recipes will make your trip unforgettable. She speaks English and she enjoys reading and cinema.

STEWARDESS – Oresteia Papachristou
Oresteia was born in 1983; she is a Greek national and holds a painter’s diploma from Athens University of Fine Arts. Orestia was a sales supervisor and chief firm designer in a jewelry store before entering the yachting industry in 2014. Since then she has offered her services onboard private and charter yachts such as M/Y Tabariya, M/Y Lobster, M/Y Loulou and M/Y Lumar. Her positive attitude and her professionalism are valuable assets on board and her main goal is to make guests feel like home. Orestia speaks fluent English and basic Spanish. She loves art and travelling.

ENGINEER /DECK HAND – Dimitris Antonopoulos
Dimitris was born in 1976 and he is Greek. He holds an electrician’s diploma but due to his love for the sea he entered the yachting industry. Before joining Laoura M in 2016 he served onboard M/Y Mediterranean Sea and S/Y Agusta Bella. He holds all relevant certificates of life saving and firefighting, first aid and Ro/Ro. Dimitris is a hard working person with a pleasant personality. He speaks English. He is married and he enjoys football and water sports.
